We here at Kelli & Daniel Taylor Photography were thrilled after meeting dog lovers Anwhitney & Buddy. We knew we were the perfect match to photograph their wedding at Canterbury United Methodist Church and reception at Vestavia Country Club. And we could not wait for this one. Their fun-loving spirit was contagious and their love for each other was simply beautiful.

On the wedding day, Anwhitney and her bridesmaids started getting ready at her family’s home in Vestavia, which is where Anwhitney’s bridal session also took place. Anwhitney’s custom Ann Barge wedding gown from The White Room in Mountain Brook was breathtaking. We love that she chose a meaningful location for her portraits that she can share with her children in the the years ahead.

The ladies spent the morning having brunch that included a traditional southern charm cake for all the girls. While the bridesmaids got ready, Anwhitney’s precious furry friend Sadie joined them during every moment of the activities. She sat in everyone’s laps and even had her own homemade pumpkin bread made by one of Anwhitney’s family friends.

With Canterbury and VCC being two of our very favorite places to photograph, the creative opportunities were endless. While Anwhitney and Buddy’s intimate first look took place inside the chapel at Canterbury, their newlywed photos were taken at Vestavia Country Club on their spectacular golf course.

Anwhitney and Buddy’s day was flawless with the help of an incredible vendor team. Thank you, Anita Kanellis of AK Brides, for referring us to this amazing couple. We still don’t know how you can be in three places at once, Anita. You never cease amaze us.

Floral designer Carol Harris, of Lillie Jane’s, has been decorating the bride’s family home for the holidays since Anwhitney was a little girl. Carol outdid herself with jaw-dropping floral decor in the home, Canterbury and the Country Club.

The couple’s Vestavia Country Club wedding favors included Krispy Kreme doughnuts, as well as custom-created dog treats from CahaBones. The pups on the custom tags by Sherri Arias are Anwhitney’s dogs, Sadie the blue tick beagle and Boston terrier W (named for President George W. Bush).

Many thanks to all the wedding pros who made their day perfect, including Mr. Burch Mountain Brook, David Bromberg for the incredible rings and diamond necklace, Main Street Productions, Dearly Beloved & Co., Sweet Magnolia cakes, High Cotten stationery, Design Productions, Rea Bakes coolies, Rare Transportation and Funky Town band from Memphis who kept the dance floor packed.
